Do Better Music Video

Do Better is the first in a series of five music videos that make up the visual album 'Wanna Be' by the Ooey Gooeys. The concept of the videos are to show the authentic performance process and capture the energy of a live communication between the musicians. The two important concepts behind the videos are that they be filmed entirely in one shot, and that no overdubs are to be recorded. The band believes that this is the most honest way to release new music, and it brings the audience as close as possible to seeing a true authentic performance of the song. This is the first music video I have directed, and I made an attempt to create a DIY feeling while still holding on to most of the production quality.
Brian Bhalla Trio

I engineered the following session for Brian Bhalla to be used as part of his audition into the Berklee College of Music Graduate School for Guitar Performance. As per conditions of the audition, the recording must not be processed digital whatsoever, and all the mixing I did was analog and in the record path. The EQ and compression on this mix had to be very minimal, in order to maintain sounding natural, so I relied greatly on my microphone selection and placement to do most of the work for me.

Brian went on to be accepted into the Berklee College of Music Graduate School, and he will begin his degree in September 2019.

Sidney
Music - Rock
This track is unique because I spent more time producing and arranging Sidney than I did mixing it. This song was tracked live at Fire Station Studios, but overdubs include Piano, Wurlitzer, synthesizers, viola, background vocals, vocal doubles, and several electronic MIDI instruments. I'm very happy with the vocal design, and feel like I was able to preserve the 80's style singer/songwriter feeling while still incorporating plenty of contemporary pop sounds.

Untapped Productions - Season Two

With 2018's Season One serving as a proof of concept, I embarked with my production team with the goal of exponentially increasing production value on Season Two. Our sights were set on higher profile artists, and we took a new approach to the entire layout of our soundstage. The new videos are still in the post production process, but will include production upgrades such as animation, VFX, interviews, and color-grading.
