Meet Me Halfway
Music - Country
As my second full-length mixing project, Meet Me Halfway quickly became a valuable exercise in arrangement and production. Songwriter and artist Richard Murray and I collaborated on this project long-distance, and most of our communications were done over the internet. As I was not present for the tracking process, I requested to be given all of the extra takes as well as full takes for auxiliary instruments such as steel guitar, fiddle, and mandolin. Using these tracks and several takes of vocal doubles and background vocals, I was able to comp and arrange all the instruments to fit the style that the client desired.

CCKidsTV Channel
Music - Children's
The following videos were made in collaboration with South African content creator Christine Champion. All of the instruments in these songs are electronic MIDI instruments, and the vocals ended up being the great challenge of this project. Almost every single line is pitch corrected, sometimes as much as two or three semi-tones in either direction. Most of the chorus vocals are all doubled, and the end result sounds very suitable to a children's sing-a-long. I have edited and mixed a total of 10 songs for the CCKidsTV channel.
The Upside
Music - Metal
Kentucky-based christian rock band The Upside was the first long-distance mixing project I took in 2018. The drums were a challenge as they were recorded very poorly and the band insisted on avoiding drum samples, however I was able to use filters and multi-band compressors to kill the bad resonances and highlight the good tones in the existing drum sound. The guitar sound comes from a combination of the original recording in parallel with a re-amp track that I made.

TxTag Commercial Edit
Sound Design for Film
This Television ad for TxTag was originally 32 seconds long, but needed to be cut in half. This video shows the edits I made in order to preserve the intention and impact of the commercial while cutting away half of the length. Voice over features the voice talent of Billy Henry.
Ozzaworld Channel
Music - Japanese Rock
This is a cover of a song from the soundtrack of a popular Japanese anime program. As another long-distance project, each set of instrument files were delivered to me from musicians at separate home studios. Fortunately the general quality of all the recordings were rather impressive, and the mix was not too difficult to assemble.

*DISCLAIMER - I was not involved in the production of this video at all. I was given the raw audio files from the recordings and the client made the video entirely on their own.
Central Market Hatch Chili Festival
Radio Ad
This is a 60-second copy read for Central Market in Austin, Tx, featuring the voice talent of Billy Henry. After editing the voice over, I created a music bed and added sound effects that would make the ad more effective/enjoyable in its final form of delivery, over the radio.

'Days' Short Film
Sound Design for Film
This short film titled 'Days' had an existing score, but no sound effects. I used Foley techniques to record and add sound effects to the short film, and mixed my effects into the score.

Stardate Podcast
Podcast
This 90-second excerpt of the StarDate Podcast is an exercise in EQ. The voice talent, Dane Butler, read this script in two different room using two different microphones (Neumann TLM103 and Sennheiser 416). The recordings are very different sonically, however I was able to use EQ as a tool to make both recordings sound similar enough to not be detected. The following clip contains audio from both recordings.
